Architecture by "Von Jour Caux" Toshiro Tanaka

The architect and philosopher Toshiro Tanaka, also known as “Von Jour Caux”, aimed to counter the monotonous uniformity of modernism by creating living spaces that have a positive effect on residents' minds. Blending Art Nouveau and Japanese culture, his designs have become some of the most notable architectural oddities in Tokyo. He is often referred to as the Gaudi of Tokyo.
